Fusebox 6A Arc Fault Detection Device (AFDD) RCBO 30mA (AFDD060630B)

The Fusebox AFDD060630B, is an Arc Fault Detection Device or AFDD.  It is designed to protect against Arc Faults (Parallel & Series), short circuit, overload and earth leakage. 

AFDD's are designed to help prevent fires, by identifying fire propogating electrical arcs, which may be caused by rodents, faulty cable, crushed wire, or a loose terminal.

Combining conventional analogue measurements with microprocessors, this device can quickly analyse data and detect potential faultsbefore they become hazardous, where property or life may be at risk.

With amendment 2 of the 18th Edition, AFDD's have become the smart way to detect arc faults in the circuits of your home or business. The amendment recommends AFDD's are installed in ciruits supplying socket outlets in the following 4 areas:

High Risk Residential Buildings (18m or 6 Storeys +)
Houses of Multiple Occupancy HMO
Student Accommodation
Care Homes
